Jasem Alsanea is a Kuwaiti Artist who utilizes lost oral Mythologies to create conceptually driven hyper-surrealistic artworks that decensor collective histories and post-war violence through mythopoetics and horror
He further works with film, performance, poetry, and practical effects
He currently finds most inspiration in the haunting of lived experiences
جاسم الصانع فنان كويتي يُعيد إحياء الأساطير الشفوية المفقودة في الخليج عبر منحها سرديات جديدة، وينطلق منها لابتكار منحوتات سريالية تفكك التاريخ والدمار ما بعد الحروب الذي صاغ ملامح ثقافته وتجربته الشخصية
كما يمتدّ عمله إلى إخراج والإنتاج السينمائي، وفنّ الأداء و المسرح، بوصفها أدوات توسّع بحثه في الذاكرة الخيالية
يستمدّ جاسم إلهامه من الهواجس المتولدة عن التجارب المعيشة، ومن حضور الماضي الذي يظلّ يطارد الحاضر ويشكّل أثره
